general dentistryComposite (white) fillings: When teeth are chipped, fractured, or decayed, composite white fillings are used to restore the tooth to function and with a more aesthetically pleasing look rather than silver mercury fillings.

Porcelain Inlays/Onlays: When damage to a tooth due to decay or trauma is too great to be treated with a conventional filling, a white porcelain inlay or onlay is recommended. It is much more durable than a regular filling and will restore the tooth to its natural aesthetic look and function.

Porcelain Crowns or Caps: These larger more durable restorations are placed on a tooth when it is extensively damaged or decayed. Aesthetically they look just like a natural tooth leading to a long lasting beautiful smile.

Root Canal Therapy: When the nerve (pulp) of the tooth is infected by decay or trauma, root canal therapy is needed in order to save the viable tooth and prevent extraction. Under local anesthesia the infected nerve (pulp) is removed and the root canals in the tooth are cleaned, sterilized, and filled thus saving the tooth. A crown or cap is almost always needed after root canal therapy to restore the tooth to its normal function.
